North Carolina Newspapers Silent on John Vick Trial
Readers responding to our two earlier posts on concert promoter John Burton Vick have indicated that he now operates under a new name promoting christian concerts. Vick’s company Radio Medial Productions is still listed as an active company by the North Carolina Secretary of States Corporations database.
On April 8th of 2009, 19 days before Vick’s charges went before a grand jury, Lars P. Simonsen of Simonsen Law Firm, PC in Edenton, NC notified the Secretary of State of his resignation as registered agent for Radio Media Productions, LLC.
Vick is well-known in Edenton, NC where his company produced annual concerts for the Chowan County Regional Fair at the American Legion Fair Grounds in Edenton. In 2008 Radio Media Productions and SRO Productions of Roanoke, VA promoted a series of concerts across North Carolina and Virginia with artist Willie Nelson, Kellie Pickler, Hootie & The Blowfish, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Legends of southern rock Lynyrd Skynyrd performed at the Coast Guard Base in Elizabeth City, NC.
That most recent event we were able to find that was produced under the Radio Media Productions name was in June 2009 at the 11th Annual Edenton Music and Water Festival on the Waterfront in Historic Edenton.
Vick’s trial before the Danville Virginia Circuit – Criminal Division has been continued until 1 December 2009. Vick faces two counts of Obtaining Money By False Pretense. John Burton Vick has only been charged, and is considered innocent until proven guilty. We will continue to bring you updates on this story as they become available.

So much your your word about the “big story” coming out about CG-092. Instead we get stories like his about people we could care less about. But as we here in the trenches have seen from this site time and time again: overpromise, underdeliver all while those in the who stifle true transparacy laugh their ass off at you for failing to follow-through.

This story is still being investigated, but like a good wine … we won’t run it till it’s ready.
There is more going on in the world other than the crap at HQ.
The difference is the “crap at HQ” affects the rest of the Coast Guard. Some dirtball civilian with no control over anyone else does not. If you deskdrivers at E-City want to focus on E-City issues, how about we investigate what transpired under the leadership of Mark Rose?
